The ING Ratenkredit is aimed at private individuals with personal financing needs, such as a purchase, renovation, or debt consolidation. The application is done online and requires both residence and employment in Germany.
The effective annual percentage rate (APR) ranges from 3.99% to 10.99%, and the fixed nominal interest rate p.a. ranges from 3.92% to 10.47%. In the bank's representative example, a loan of €15,000 over a term of 120 months results in an effective APR of 7.54%. Loan amounts between €5,000 and €100,000 can be financed. From a loan amount of €40,001, ING automatically grants an interest discount of 0.20 percentage points.
The term can be chosen between 12 and 120 months. No separate processing fee is disclosed on the offer page. Additional repayments are unlimited and free of charge, so the loan can be repaid in full or in part ahead of schedule at any time without incurring extra costs.
Requirements for approval include being of legal age, using the loan for private purposes, and having both residence and employment in Germany. A salary checking account is also required, along with a stable monthly income of at least €1,600. The bank also requires good creditworthiness.
The ING Ratenkredit stands out with clearly communicated requirements, unlimited free additional repayments, and an automatic interest discount on larger loan amounts. Due to the €1,600 minimum income and €5,000 minimum loan amount, it is best suited to customers with a stable income and a somewhat larger financing need.
