"Raisin StartZins" is an entry-level offer from Raisin Bank for new customers of the Raisin savings and investment platform (formerly WeltSparen). It specifically targets people who have never taken out a savings or investment product via Raisin before and are looking for a simple way into the platform.
The rate is 3.00% p.a., fixed for the entire 3-month term. This is therefore not a classic, open-ended Tagesgeld account but a short-term fixed-rate offer. Investment amounts between €1 and a maximum of €50,000 are accepted. According to the offer page, interest is calculated on a daily basis.
The rate applies exclusively to new Raisin customers who have not previously taken out a savings or investment product via the platform. No further prerequisites, such as a salary or current account with a specific provider, are required. However, a free Raisin account with Raisin Bank is required — this serves only as an interest-free settlement account for deposits and withdrawals, not as a regular current account. Early withdrawal of the balance is possible.
After the three months, the fixed term ends; the balance can then automatically be invested in a follow-up product from one of the more than 140 European partner banks on the Raisin platform, or transferred back to the interest-free Raisin settlement account. The terms of whichever partner bank offer is current at that point then apply — not the 3.00% StartZins rate.
Raisin StartZins is a solid entry-level offer for anyone taking out their first product via the Raisin platform: 3.00% p.a. for 3 months on up to €50,000, with no salary account required. Anyone planning to save regularly or long-term should plan from the start to actively choose a follow-up product from one of the partner banks after the three months, since the StartZins rate no longer applies afterwards.
